Custom Axle Ordering
Trojan manufactures a wide range of beam axles to suit most applications. These axles are for use with leaf spring suspensions and include straight beam, drop beam, and gull-wing types. Braked and non-braked types are available. All axles can be supplied either galvanised or in bare metal form. Depending on the capacity, axle beams are manufactured using either 40mm, 50mm or 65mm square hollow box sections.
Beam axles are manufactured against firm order only and are built to the client’s specifications.

General
- CARRYING CAPACITY: This is the maximum load including the trailer weight.
- HUB EQUIPMENT: Are hubs to be braked or non-braked Wheel Drilling is required. (Stud pattern / PCD).
- FACE TO FACE MEASUREMENT (C): This is the measurement from the outside face of one hub to the opposite one. See C on the image.
- SPRING MOUNTING CENTRES (D): This measurement is from centre to centre of the springs. See D on the image.
If you cannot supply C & D details then the following information is required:
- Chassis overall width. Minus 50mm. (This gives spring centres)
- Overall measurement outside the mudguards. Minus 30mm. This gives outside to outside of the tyres.
- Inside & outside offset measurement of the wheels with tyres fitted. From this together with the mudguard measurement the hub face to face can be calculated.
Gull Wing Axles
Measurements C & D are required plus E which is the required depth of the bend. This can be 60mm, 90mm or 120mm. See E on the image.
Drop Beam Axles
Measurements C & D are required plus B which is the required height of the drop. This can be 60mm or 90mm. See B on the image.
